How to Password-Protect Folder in Windows

There are quite a few ways to password-protect folders in Windows, but most of them rely on pricey third-party software. Below, we have listed a couple of ways to password-protect a folder: one without using any eternal software and the other using a free third-party software.

1. Create a new folder and name it (we'll use the name private).

Open that folder, and create a new "Text Document" in this folder. Go to the link goo.gl/Folder-Code and copy/paste the code in this opened text document.

2. Don't close the document. Find "PASSWORD_GOES_HERE" in the code you pasted and replace it with the password you want.

It should look like "if NOT %pass%==0213 goto FAIL". Here 0123 is the password.

3. Go to "Save As" by clicking the "File" option in the Title Bar.

4. Change the File type from "Text Document.txt" to "All Files" and change the name of text document to "Locker.bat". Save the file.

5. Go inside the folder that was created in the first step, open "Locker.bat". A new folder called "Private" will now start showing up.

6. To lock the "Private" folder, double click "Locker.bat" and Press "Y".

7. To unlock it, double click "Locker.bat" and enter the previously-specified password.

Through this method, your private folder will only be visible when you launch Locker.bat and enter the correct password. We would suggest creating this folder in a less obvious location. And don't worry, the text document (in which you entered the password) that resides besides the Locker.bat file will appear to be empty if opened later on (by you or some other nosy person!)

Hide Last Seen In iphone :

In iphone there is a default setting to enable and disable the last seen timestamp of whatsapp messenger which makes it much more easier to hide your last seen status on whatsapp and you dont need to download and install any third party application to hide your last seen status from others.
All you need to do it to upgrade your application to latest version available because the latest update of Whatsapp for Iphone have “Last Seen Timestamp” option. So simply go Settings>> Advanced>>Last Seen Timestamp and turn it OFF.

If you are an Android OS user then there are two methods by which you can hide your last seen status. But they really seems nothing as compared to the above mentioned feature of iphone. But still if you want to get rid of this last seen time stamp you must follow one of these methods.

METHOD 1 - USING NOT LAST SEEN APP :

This is an app of android which disables the network packet data when you wish to hide your last seen status. But the drawback of app is that you can not hide your status while you wish to chat with someone for long time.
Because this app basically disconnects your handset from packet data when you enter whatsapp, so servers of whatsapp dont get your status that you are using it and then after reading the messages when you close the whatsapp , it again enables the internet active automatically so in this way you get to read the messages from your contacts without being noticed by whatsapp servers and hence your last seen status is not updated.

METHOD 2 - MANUALLY

1. Go to settings and Disable your cellphone’s Interent and Wifi.
2. Open Whatsapp. Read and send messages.
3. Close Whatsapp, now enable Internet and Wifi.
As soon as the Internet connectivity re-initialized , Whatsapp will synchronize with the servers and the messages will be sent without the server getting to know your last online status update.
Unfortunately for our Blackberry and Windows phone users, there is no such method other than Manual at this moment. However in the past, Blackberry had an app known as OpenWhatsapp for hiding Last Seen, but it has been discontinued by its developers. But stay tuned, we will find some trick for these two very soon.
